OBS is a very popular streaming suite and can feed into a wide variety of different systems. It is a very powerful tool but we're only going to cover the most basic use case.
- Download the application from https://obsproject.com/.
- Install OBS. You'll typically want to accept all the defaults during installation.
- Press Next and continue through the rest of the defaults until complete.
- On this screen make sure that Launch OBS Studio is checked and then press finish.
- Press Yes to run the auto-configuration wizard.
- Select Optimize for Streaming and press Next.
- Adjust this screen to 30 frames per second and press Next.
- Specify a custom account type.
- Enter the URL and streaming key you will have received from support.
- Press yes to confirm the test.
- Once the test is complete apply the settings.
- Add input sources. You'll want an audio input and a video input. The exact details of the next steps depend on your hardware.
- Press OK on this screen.
- Press OK on this screen.
- Now we'll add a video camera. Press OK on this screen.
- Adjust your webcam settings as necessary and then press OK.
- On the main page you will probably want to resize is so that your webcam fills the screen or is centered to turn this:
into this: - You're now ready to press on Start Streaming to broadcast a live video and audio feed.
